📋 Overview

The Planner & Forecast module allows consultants to map out future resource allocations and predict upcoming business revenue. It segregates forward-looking projections from historical financial data while feeding strategic tax planning modules.

➕ Create a Forecast Entry

  1. Navigate to a future date block on the interactive calendar
  2. Click the date cell to open the entry modal
  3. Complete Project and Hours fields
  4. Ensure the Type Toggle is set to Forecast
  5. Click Commit Forecast

🔄 Convert Forecast to Actual

Once planned work concludes, locate your forecast blocks. Click on the target block to expand its quick-action card. Click "Convert to Actual" — Rake updates the type flag from Forecast to Actual, migrating the record into your standard timesheet registry for billing.

🔗 System Interrelationships

Forecast entries are completely isolated from your formal invoicing engine and Business Activity Statements (BAS). However, they serve as core variables for Tax Planning and PSI Extraction Scenarios. These modules pull your future forecast values to project end-of-year taxable income brackets, allowing you to implement superannuation and distribution strategies before June 30.

💬 Need Custom Tax or Business Advice?

Rake provides automated tooling and estimations, but we always recommend reviewing your structures with a certified Australian accountant.
